Emergency HVAC Qualification Assistance

According to Florida Statutes 489.119 and 489.121, if a qualifying agent leaves or passes away, an HVAC business must replace the qualifying agent within 60 days. During this period, the business cannot take on new HVAC or Air Conditioning contracts or projects but can request a temporary nonrenewable certificate to complete existing projects and contracts. This temporary certificate is valid for up to 60 days, allowing the business to fulfill outstanding contractual obligations while finding a new qualifying agent.
